I believe in the future of STEM with a soul.  Where technology listens deeply, understands profoundly and thereby becomes a potent tool for good….way beyond mere computation.

Being gifted in STEM related subjects from an early age, my underlying attentional deficiencies and learning disabilities were written off as a quirk of my ‘giftedness’. Almost crippled with anxiety, a formal diagnosis in high school, put into perspective my challenges and helped me understand myself better.

My older sister won a Diana Award for her work as a disability advocate, a community that she proudly represented. In speaking to her I realised that while everyone had their own cross to bear, my privilege afforded me means to alleviate my load, unlike many others I met along the way. Having designed and won numerous tech related competitions, I realised the futility of mere ‘performative’ technological innovations.

Voila! thereby was born, Vox Technorati ‘Voice of the Technically Illuminated ones”, which is my ode to countless voices like mine; who have endeavoured to leverage the power of technology for the larger societal good.

Today, you’ll mostly find me demystifying how the world works, pulling apart ideas just to see what’s inside them. A voracious reader with a quick wit, I’m endlessly fascinated by maths, science, and the strange ways they explain everyday life.

Depending on the day, I dream of being a scientist, inventor, mathematician, author, pianist, or stand-up comedian, though the constants are curiosity, creation, and humour.

What I’m absolutely sure of? One day, I’ll be running experiments in my gigantic lab in Antarctica.
